Ok, I still don't have some fun quip about life, or what this blog is about to put here. Someday - perhaps tomorrow perhaps two years from tomorrow - I will figure it out. Until then, see my randomness below.

Fanfare and Trumpets

*Trumpets blast as if announcing something great, through the clouds we see a figure begin to descend. As he approaches, we can tell that the figure is Hermes -- messenger of the Gods. He approaches a very ornate golden lectern. As he steps to the front sprigs of ivy grow from the ground ultimately supporting a microphone. Hermes turns back towards the cloud shrouded peak of Mt. Olympus and speaks...*

"We who are about to party like rockstars salute you.

Thank you for joining us here today at the base of great Olympus on this most auspicious of occasions. Today we celebrate the anniversary of great Zeus' rise to power in his current form. Today we celebrate the day Zeus' presence in our world brought the correct order to all things and set the earth rotating in such a manner as to sustain the existence of all gathered here today. Today we cry to the heavens 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZEUS' and we lay presents at the base of Mt. Olympus. We do these things to ask forgiveness for our sins. We do these things to show appreciation to the great and powerful Zeus. And then, by decree of his majestic greatness.. WE PARTY!"

*Hermes, lectern, ivy, microphone and clouds over Olympus all disappear as if they were never there. The sky goes black as if a light switch was flipped. Then, a thousand bolts of lightning rain down around the gathered masses the light fades back to day and in place of the thunder a loud voice booms from above...*

"LET THE DAY BEGIN!"
